This is NOT a requirement of all IT companies, in fact most IT companies find it to be too time intensive during the hiring process.  It is not regulated nor required by federal or state for any IT company to provide any personnel validation.  These background checks are reviewed over by the FBI, SBI, and NC Alarm Systems Licensing Board.
